Lauren Farrugia is the Australian Liaison for the New York Institute of Dance & Education, First Company for Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre McLeod Technique and Reinforced Motor Function ® Certified Teacher. As an international performer, she has performed in many famous arenas in Australia and the United States including Sydney Opera House, The Sydney State Theatre, National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Alvin Ailey’s Joan Weill Center for Dance, The Egg in NY State capitol, Albany as well as touring in Italy.
 
Lauren has completed her Certificate IV in Elite performance at Brent Street Performing Arts, Sydney, Australia before moving to New York City as a Junior Artist for Ajkun Ballet Theatre in October of 2015. In 2016 she began dancing with Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre where she trained extensively with the faculty at the New York Institute of Dance & Education including their President and CEO, Sean McLeod, Gregory Livingston, Jerami Kipp, Lorienne Beals, Devon McLeod, Kierstyn Zaykoski, and Hana Ginsburg Tirosh. In 2016 she was promoted to Senior Artist for Ajkun Ballet Theatre and 2017 she
became First Company for Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre.
 
Lauren is an honors student at Baruch College, CUNY and is working towards Bachelor of Honors in Journalism and Creative Writing. She is a recipient of the Institute of International Education scholarship for her outstanding work as the International Admissions Liaison in the Undergraduate Admissions Department, her role as College Assistant at the Baruch Welcome Center, and her initiative as the Performing Arts executive board member for International Student Organisation. More recently, Lauren established the Diversity, Inclusion and International Affairs Committee in Baruch’s Undergraduate Student Government where they launched Baruch’s very first USG Diversity Podcast.
