With the support of the National Endowment for the Arts, “Two Black Voices” A Scholarly Comparative Analysis Project that asks “Are there Black-created dance techniques?” was hosted by the iconic company of Lula Washington Dance Theatre in Los Angeles. The project’s scholar subjects, Executive Producer Sean McLeod and intellect William J Ferguson II sat down with Lula and Erwin Washington, Co-founders of the LA Institution, to discuss how Black contributors in dance can be sincerely accepted as accomplished so that they continue to not only survive but thrive.
